Chatted with Paul on MS messenger this a.m. He just got off patrol. One of the armored humvees in his convoy ran over a landmine. One of soldiers received a broken jaw and a two broken eardrums. Paul said they were damn lucky. He can't wait to get home and in his words, " be done with these shitheads." Tomorrow, February 1st, he'll have two months left in Iraq. I'll be ecstatic when he's home safely. His new temporary patrol duty has intensified my anxiety level and is causing some sleepless nights. For the next week and a half he's on patrol duty three times a day. Our soldiers are targets in those mean streets and I hate that fact. Lord bring my boy home safely.
