A news flash just came across my TV screen that a rocket attack and suicide bombers attacked a base in Balad and several soldiers were killed or injured. This gut-wrenching news has me in knots as my son is patrolling in that area of Iraq. I can't watch the news and I can't not watch the news. It's a schizophrenic dilemma! During the Moslem Haji, the Islamic equivalent of our Thanksgiving, the violence in the mideast is very high. Al-quieda and other terrorist groups are using these religious days to promote their twisted agenda and instill fear in the hearts and minds of good Moslems everywhere. They are murdering innocent people in the name of a perverted form of Islam and attempting to de-stabilize Iraq and other parts of the Mideast I fear for the safety of my son and the other soldiers. It is out of my hands and control. I can only pray the God will hear my prayers and intercede on behalf of myself and other families of our troops. Below are two photos of my soldier-son Paul in Iraq.
