The Ashoura festival, the Shiite Muslims most holy holiday, provides a perfect occasion for terroists to attack and divide Iraq. By some twisted logic, when acts of terror take place, The United States is blamed, despite evidence that controverts the facts. As I watched a Fox news video clip of the aftermath of today's bomb blast, I was appalled at the pelting of American soldier-medics with bricks, cans garbage and other debris while trying to help wounded victims of a terrible bombing. My soldier-son-medic has faced these hostilities for the past year. In spite of the hardships of war and living in a strange country, he's still convinced that the mission of liberating the Iraqi people was worth the sacrifice. Soon he'll be home. The following link is a news story, reporting today's terrorist blasts of some holy sites.
