Homecomings

Thousands of U.S. troops have returned from Iraq during the past two weeks. Martha Stewart, Michael Jackson, Kobi Bryant and Scott Peterson and early presidental politics have dominated the news, while the homecomings of our brave men and women have been largely ignored by the media. The press reports these celebrity stories ad-nauseum, while families welcome home their sons and daughters from war. Reporters love to say that they are "Fair and balanced", which is total bunk. In reality, most are automatons, regurgitating words flowing from a single source. They are like the little ankle-biting animal from the movie "The Gods Must Be Angry II". Once they latch on to an ankle (or a story), They hold on to it until death. The news networks need to show these military homecomings and let the American people see the faces of those who have sacrificed for their country!
