It's always frustrating when one's flight is cancelled or delayed. It's maddening when you're trying to leave a war zone. My son called his wife from Kuwait yesterday and announced yet another flight cancellation. He's anxious to get home, as his family is to have him here. We've been on pins and needles awaiting his return for three weeks. I keep telling myself that we're fortunate that he's out of Iraq and in the relative safety of Kuwait, and I believe this to be true. Patience is a virtue and we're trying hard to be virtuous, but our nerves are wearing thin. I ask the Lord for strength today and pray for my son and the troops who are fighting in this ongoing battle against world terrorism. Also, I pray for their families, who need great strength and courage in these trying times. ribbonus
