Image Hosted by ImageShack.us I just lit up a big, fat Cuban cigar that I've been saving for a special occasion. Today, a long-awaited dream has been fullfilled. I played golf with my two sons, Paul and Luke. The war in Iraq put a year long- hiatus on our father-son golf matches. This get together signifies a celebration of Paul's return as a soldier from the horrors of war and a re-integration of our family. It's been a long time coming. Watching the boys hit the stupid white ball together , brought a little tear to my eyes. If you scroll down this page or check the recent archive file, you will see a photo of Paul, practicing for this day in the sands of Iraq. It is my prayer that fathers of soldiers everywhere will soon experience the joy of a son returned from war unharmed. As the smoke from my cigar curls in the air, I smile and thank God for this blessing!
