Paul, my soldier son, called me from Colorado today and excitedly described the new Ping golf irons that he ordered. Golf has been a bonding sport between my boys and me for several years now. It was great to chat with him about something as mundane as golf and leave the war behind for a few minutes. Paul's been home from Iraq since April Fool's day and has started to re-adjust to a degree of normalcy. He joked about the golf course below in Balad, Iraq.
