Meet Salam, a young gay Iraqi who chronicles the war from its genesis to the present day. Salam is intelligent, educated, iconoclastic and original. Through his eyes, his blog takes us through the horrors of falling bombs, Iraq politics, pre and post Saddam Iraq, and his opinions of war and democracy. His insights are well-positioned as he lived in Vienna and his parents are highly educated. Salam is adept with technolgy and seems more comfortable with western culture than Islamic society.
