Yesterday Donald Rumsfeld announced that 20,000 soldiers scheduled to return home from Iraq, will be held over for up to three more months. I can't imagine the mental anguish that they and their families are suffering right now. I'm very thankful that my son arrived home, given the level of increased violence and coalition and American casualties over the past two weeks. The President needs to use all of his diplomatic, military, economic and bargaining powers to bring this war to a resolution post-haste! America's patience is wearing thin and its citizens need a clearer vision as to where this war is taking us. Everyone understands that we must fight terrorism, and will rally around leadership with a specific plan to defeat this scourge. Waffling and politics will only result in the deaths of more U.S. troops. I continue to pray for the families and troops around the world involved in this fight against terrorism!
