Memorial Day-A national holiday set aside to remember and honor soldiers, sailors, marines and other members of the armed forces, both past and present, living and dead. For me it is a time to reflect on the past year and give thanks that my son returned safely from Iraq and, to pray for the safe return of my nephew, Joshua, who is serving in the U.S. air Force, in the Middle East. My son, Paul's been home exactly sixty days. He's still a soldier, and as I write this, he's on a chartered bus to Texas on an 18 hour trip, for three weeks of advanced military training. The picture below is a photo of Paul in Iraq. I published it before, but in honor of my son and in support of American troops worldwide, here it is again.
