A Link Worth Visiting

Yesterday, my soldier-son Paul, called and told me he had volunteered for funeral duty. He, along with other soldiers in the detail would present the U.S. flag to the family members of the deceased. Paul, told me he actually likes this duty as it gives him time to reflect and pay respect to veterans who preceeded him. As a young boy, Paul presented the flag to his grandmother at his grandfather's funeral and it left a strong impression of respect on him. I appreciate more and more the man that my boy has become. In the sidebar of this blog, there's a heroe's memorial link, that is worth visiting. It is a list of the names and details of every U.S. military person that has died in combat during the past eighteen months. If you click on the title of this article or on the link at the end of this article it will take you to the website.
